Reviews
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights recently. Overall, it was just okay. The location is great if you want to walk the streets of Gatlinburg. The room wasn’t very clean. The A/C - Heating didn’t work great. House keeping was horrible! They came to clean 2 of the 4 days we stayed. In the 2 days they came, they barely made the bed, did not replace any of the items we used, toilet paper ran out on the 3rd day and wasn’t replaced, towels weren’t replaced, and trash wasn’t emptied. The breakfast was pretty good and the staff at the front desk were nice. Coffee was great!
"Hey folks! I just had to share my thoughts about this place I've been going to for ages. It has such a charming vibe, and even with the renovations, I still couldn't help but give it a 5-star rating simply for the memories I’ve had there.
They recently decided to renovate, which got me all excited. The prices were completely jacked up, so I assumed the renovations were complete. I wouldn't mind paying more if they had actually finished the job but who wants to pay premium prices when the place is a total mess.
What needs work:
-Elevators should have been renovated first. They are older than my grandma and it’s just a matter of time before someone gets stuck in there.
-Roped-off sections throughout the building had garbage and old furniture lying around.
-Fans in the bathroom would be nice….
-AC was set to 60 but it felt like 80, so we had to crack our balcony window to keep it cool
-LOVE that it’s pet friendly now, however there are 2 by 4s and trash scattered all over the path to the designated dog area, making it totally unsafe for my furry friend.
-we were woken up at least 3 of our 4 nights stay at 2am by loud dumpster/trash removal noises, guessing it’s part of the renovation cleanup process.
I know I sound a bit disappointed, but for the money I would not recommend staying here until it’s fully renovated or wait until they adjust the price for what’s it worth in the meantime.
PS - staff at breakfast, checkin and room service were AWESOME as always.
We stayed here the week before Thanksgiving. The hotel is going through renovation. That should really make this an exceptional location with Hilton quality. I first have to recommend the rooms along the creek. We had room 319 with two Queens and it had a nice view of the creek with its lovely sounds. It also has a great view of Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway station. It was fun to see the gondolas go in and out through the day and night! The rooms in the other building appear to have a view of the mountains and city, albeit over the parking lot. Regardless, service is again top Hilton quality! I especially wish to thank Anita, Jennifer, and Jeremy, who helped take care of our fridge that had to be replaced. The only thing you have to consider is the rooms are very small in comparison to more modern Hampton properties. But the staff, views, and exceptional downtown location make up for this. Enjoy Gatlinburg!
I really enjoyed my stay here. The creek view is fantastic. Definitely get a balcony room. It's only 10 feet from the balcony. The housekeeping was exceptional. The staff went out of there way to help out. The pool was outside and closed but would be nice in the summer. You can easily walk everywhere in town from here. I was worried about the reviews about a parking shortage. Do not worry if parked by 7pm. As typical at some Hamptons there's a grass shortage in 🐶 puppy relief areas. 🐕. Overall a 5 star stay.
It is comfortable and nice location.
Friendly service. Rooms are a little dated and this hotel is a motel. Issue was the rooms are not that sound proof. Heard vehicles and people all night. Also, no exhaust fans in the bathroom. So be first in the morning.
They have renovations on going but did not disturb us on our stay and our newly renovated room was nice. I was weary reading some of the reviews prior to our stay but I was not disappointed. Location puts you in walking distance of everything with all the good restaurants very close by
The location was great, the breakfast was good but they were in a hurry to close although my son was there who wanted something more, plus I think they don't like Latin people or immigrants. It's a nice town but I don't think I'll return.
